Aster Shirt

This summer, we will make this beautiful classic button-up shirt.  Made from a choice of cotton lawn, chambray, swiss dot fabric, it has beautiful drape and you can dress it up for work, or choose the flutter sleeve for a more casual look.  

Things you will learn:
  • applying bias binding
  • making bias binding 
  • hemming
  • darts
  • taking your own personal measurements
  • lay out and cut from a commercial pattern
  • pinning, sewing and pressing techniques
  • finishing techniques
  • placket
  • yoke
  • buttonholes
Skill Level:
  • Intermediate +.  If you've been sewing for a while and are very comfortable with sewing but would like to take your sewing to the next level by making a shirt which includes buttonholes, placket and yoke, this is the class for you.
