College Portfolio Prep

Do you have dreams of getting into fashion, design or merchandising school?  Would you like to attend one of the fashion colleges like FIT or Parsons?  If you are a high school student or someone thinking about applying to one of the Fashion Programs in a college or university, then Stitch Pretty's College Portfolio Prep program is for you.

Our program focuses on three key areas that are highly desired by college recruiters: fashion construction, fashion design and textile arts.

In our fashion construction series of classes you will create wearable and display pieces while mastering a wide range of skills. You will stand out from the crowd even before your portfolio presentation by wearing your own creation into the room.

The fashion design classes teach Fashion Illustration.  These classes will give your portfolio real depth with examples of your vision that you can take forward to your interview.

Our textile arts offerings allow the student to get deep into the craft.  Weaving, shibori, dyeing are techniques we will cover to produce your personal line of fabrics that you can work into your own fashion pieces or simply show as completed works of their own.

Students are invited to take any or all of these classes, although you will want to consider how much depth you want your portfolio to showcase.

We at Stitch Pretty are excited about this program and look forward to helping our students achieve their dreams. This is a 6 month program beginning in the spring and ending at the end of summer, in time for the National Portfolio Day review that takes place in the Fall here in Atlanta.

We want you to shine and stand out from the rest!
