We provide all the equipment, tools and instructions for your projects, as well as the embellishments, fabrics, and notions needed according to the badge or project requirements as specified by Girl Scouts of America. (Girls may need to provide their own jeans to embellish depending upon the badge.)

The following activities will be completed for the Sew Simple Badge: 
  1. Hands Down—Hand stitching practice
  2. A Stitch in Time—Machine Introduction and stitch practice
  3. Program It - Explore decorative stitches on machine and sew them.
  4. Find the Fabric—Fabric cards and grain/width information
  5. Perfect Fit—Body measurement chart
  6. Followed a Pattern—Complete a simple pillow using the machine  or tote bag or laundry bag.
The following activities will be completed for the Art to Wear Badge
  1. Fashion Friendship -Make a friendship anklet or an accessory for a friend.
  2. Show Your Flair - alter one item of clothing you already own. 
  3. Pattern-Maker - Try your hand at creating a pattern. Create the pattern.
  4. Fashion Add-Ons - Create a clothing accessory for yourself, such as a belt or scarf.
  5. Doll Clothes - Give your doll a fashion tune-up. Design jackets, dresses, pants, or other fashion components for one or two dolls.
  6. Decorate Your Wearables  -Dress up a plain or old garment with a small decorative item eg. beads, buttons or pompons.
